As a Security Officer in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location, especially within the tech, media, and telecom sector. Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required. Assist visitors and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence. Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits during patrols. Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs specific to the location. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
