Senior Applications Analyst Administrator

The Senior Applications Analyst Administrator will lead the GBFB Enterprise Technology and Services team in an analytic and administrative role to ensure that our use of key cloud-based applications (i.e. Salesforce and NetSuite) are being used effectively and efficiently and are meeting the needs of the organization. This role will work closely with the internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot, build, configure, and automate technology solutions to deliver business value and refine the overall platform that enables users to get the most out of the technology solutions Opportunity type Job Category Administration (e.g., Finance, IT, HR) Job responsibilities Manages technology projects and cross-functional teams to determine resources needed and responsibly stewards them, tracks progress against established timelines, evaluates training, and monitors adoption. Collaborates across teams during the discovery phase to assess value, usability, and feasibility of enhancement concepts and experience. Acts as a business liaison with technology and vendors and provides end-user training and support. Gather requirements and design the most accurate and efficient solution possible. Participate in the change control process and documentation appropriately. Work independently to analyze and resolve system-related problems. Provide end-user support for issues entered into issue tracking systems. Assist departments in identifying problems and providing alternative and innovative solutions. Develop new processes and procedures to meet current challenges. Analyze business processes and associate them to software deliverables. Assist Tech Operations and Data Analytics teams on technical issues. Participate in trainings and work with end users to enhance their knowledge of tools Stay updated on the platform’s new tools, capabilities, and updates Identify opportunities to exploit technical innovations for business benefit. Assess upcoming NetSuite/Salesforce releases for bug fixes and new functionality. Assist in the testing, deployment, and stabilization of these releases. Recommend best practices and customizations to increase the efficiency and scalability of the NetSuite system for the organization. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Salesforce - Nonprofit Success Pack, Salesforce Community Cloud and Volunteers for Salesforce preferred. Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption. Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity. Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, functionality and Lightning interface. Experience with NetSuite SuiteCommerce Advanced is a plus. Demonstrated versatility and knowledge of combining business requirements into technology results. Strong data management, data governance and data life cycle abilities. Experience with Data Analytics and Predictive Analytics. Ability to apply proper troubleshooting skills to root problems and resolution. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Strong commercial and customer awareness and a proven track record of ensuring the Business (and stakeholders) are always at the forefront of decision making. Qualifications BA/BS Degree in Business, Information Technology, computer science, engineering or other relevant areas preferred. 2+ years of experience using and administering Salesforce and/or NetSuite (preferred) in a professional environment. 3+ years of total experience in Salesforce roles, including work with any combination of Sales, Service, Marketing, and/or Nonprofit. Salesforce (ADM201 and/or ADM211)/NetSuite certified Administrators a plus but not required. Strong understanding of the business processes Strong understanding of and passion for new technologies, with the ability to spot potential opportunities Strong ability to communicate technical concepts and opportunities to a business audience Genuine appreciation of GBFB’s mission and the ability to communicate with it. Must be eligible to work without sponsorship Additional Requirements Regular and reliable job attendance (2-3 days of work from GBFB Boston building) Effective verbal and written communication skills Exhibit respect and understanding of others to maintain professional relationships Independent judgement in evaluation options to make sound decisions Ability to work effectively in an open office environment.
