The Senior Designer partners with a copywriter to deliver compelling print and digital concepts, formats, and layouts. They work with multiple clients across various verticals to create effective communications and multi-channel campaigns.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead creative development from concept to execution, partnering with a copywriter as needed.
Oversee freelance designers or copywriters and collaborate with them.
Utilize outside production resources to execute concepts for the marketplace if needed.
Apply a client’s brand voice to all creative deliverables.
Implement best practices of information hierarchy, emotionally resonant messaging, and persuasive creative concepts, following brand standards.
Create solutions using creativity to generate responses across verticals including Insurance, MSO, Financial Services, Healthcare, Non-Profit, and Automotive.
Manage deadlines for multiple projects, sometimes with multiple versions.
Build a portfolio showcasing creative persuasion, including direct mail, print, and other media.
Collaborate with Data Strategists, Creative Directors, Copywriters, Managers, and Salespeople to deliver impactful execution.
Provide direction for in-studio and on-location photography; source stock images if needed.
Build and shape agency-level, strategically driven creative presentations using InDesign or other platforms.
Create and execute multi-channel national marketing campaigns.
Design and develop branded collateral and POP materials.
Support content initiatives under the Making Better Happen SM platform.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Understand direct mail information hierarchy best practices.
Understand trade show booth design and engagement.
Maintain composure in quick turnaround and high-stress situations.
Deliver strong presentation skills; engage with clients persuasively.
Learn basic video editing using Vimeo Create.
Understand paper types and weights.
Communicate ideas clearly, verbally and in writing.
Sketch or draw as needed.
Work on various project formats.
Understand universal proofreading marks.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
12+ years of agency experience.
Bachelor’s degree with a focus on Graphic Design.
Experience with both conventional and digital printing.
Experience with digital design (email/web).
B2B and B2C experience.
Direct response marketing experience.
Extensive experience with color separations and file building for four-color and spot-color printing.
Experience working in an agency environment.
Experience in cross-channel creative development including direct mail, email, and display ads.
Proficiency with Macintosh OSX, InDesign, FTP transfer, font management, color spaces, and file formats.
Experience with project management software.
Knowledge of UI & UX strategies; TV/Video concepting, storyboarding, and production.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work 8 hours consecutively.
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
The starting salary range for this position is $72,000-$98,000. Compensation is determined by experience, skills, and other factors. IWCO offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, and more.
