Tigerlily Foundation is seeking a strategic and visionary Director of Research and Evaluation to lead our organization’s data, research, and impact reporting functions. This role is central to advancing our mission of ending disparities in breast cancer outcomes for young women of color by producing community-informed, evidence-based insights that drive programs, shape advocacy efforts, and elevate patient voices. The Director will lead mixed-methods research initiatives, manage program evaluation, and disseminate findings through publications, presentations, and stakeholder reports. The role requires deep experience in behavioral and health equity research, a passion for community-driven solutions, and the ability to communicate findings in accessible, actionable ways. This position will collaborate closely with the CEO, program teams, medical advisors, funders, and community stakeholders to ensure that Tigerlily’s research and evaluation work supports systemic change and improves outcomes for historically excluded populations. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute research and evaluation strategies aligned with organizational priorities Lead the development and dissemination of research publications, abstracts, white papers, and internal insights Maintain IRB standards and documentation for all relevant research activities Analyze data from Tigerlily’s navigation, training, and community engagement programs to identify impact trends Partner with internal teams to integrate research into program design, grant proposals, and storytelling Collaborate with external advisors, academic institutions, and funders on study design, data collection, and reporting Present findings at national conferences and translate insights for public and partner audiences Oversee internal data dashboards, reporting cycles, and evaluation frameworks Required Skills and Qualifications: Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, PsyD, ScD, or equivalent) in public health, psychology, social science, health informatics, epidemiology, or related field At least 10 years of experience designing and leading behavioral, psychosocial, or public health research Demonstrated expertise in mixed-methods research (qualitative and quantitative) and evaluation methodologies Experience with IRB processes and ethical research standards for human subjects Proficient in research software such as STATA, SPSS, NVivo, or similar platforms Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills Proven track record of translating data into impactful reports and presentations Commitment to health equity and community-based participatory research models Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex findings for diverse audiences Preferred Experience: Experience evaluating program effectiveness for nonprofits, advocacy groups, or healthcare organizations Knowledge of cancer disparities, psychosocial outcomes, or chronic disease navigation Familiarity with grant writing, outcomes reporting, and funder data requirements Experience engaging with Black, Brown, Indigenous, and underserved communities in research settings This role is remote with occasional travel required for team meetings, community presentations, or conferences.
