Assembly, Integration, and Test Engineer
Cambrian Works pioneers the foundational infrastructure to create stronger connections in space through adaptable router design, innovative electroadhesion systems, and flexible software capability. This role was created to support the building and testing of Cambrian Works’ products for customer delivery. Who You’ll Be Reporting To You’ll report to the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) Team lead, and work closely with fellow AIT team members and other Cambrian Work-ers. You’ll support production activities, perform required tests with close attention to detail, and iterate, improve, and document existing processes. From the CEO: “You’ll be working at the chip level and the system level. These are compute devices that route real space data, so we need someone who can think beyond the lab and ask: what’s going to work on orbit?” What You’ll Accomplish Together Assemble and deliver space-ready products to enhance customer spacecraft Ensure optimal product performance through developing, standardizing, and carrying out procedures Manage lab hardware configurations, usage, and reconfiguration needs to support our expanding product offerings Inform future product design and development Role Responsibilities Assemble and test at the component, subsystem, and system level, including environmental test campaigns Maintain a clear record of test findings and troubleshoot potential anomalies and defects Analyze test data with ability to present findings to larger teams Write and revise test plans, procedures, and other documentation Track system requirements and evolving mission characteristics to guarantee test plan and procedure conformance Coordinate with partnering teams to ensure timeline adherence Qualifications 2+ years of test experience with a complex system, Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field Close attention to detail and commitment to organization during the entire production process while achieving targets set by project timelines Ability collaborate and communicate with a diverse team, and discern appropriate times to seek team support Experience with standard lab equipment: DMM, electronic load, oscilloscope, power supply, etc. Nice to Have Experience with environmental test campaigns and equipment including thermal chambers, vacuum chambers, vibration tables, radiation testing, EMI/EMC, etc. Familiarity with industry standards, such as NASA GEVS and space hardware cleanliness standards Understanding of basic Linux commands Equity participation available through Cambrian’s Option plan Health and retirement benefits packages Unlimited PTO policy Hardware ownership in a mission-critical product line trusted for spaceflight Additional Requirements This is an in-person role based in Los Gatos, CA.
