HIL - Transportation Driver Tier 1

The Tier I role is for a specialized group of Class A/Transport drivers whose responsibilities have a minimal degree of physical activity and customer service focus. The role primarily performs "drop and hook" deliveries.
Responsibilities :
Drive truck over established route to deliver the product at customer locations. Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on trucks to conform to DOT regulations and company policy and assist with routine maintenance on trucks. Exhibit courteousness toward customers, work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors, maintain a neat appearance, and follow established policies and direction of management. Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs as required by DOT. Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours. Must be able to operate a handheld computer. Must be able to operate a powered lift truck (pallet jack). Qualifications

Experience :
English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be beneficial based on business necessity. Minimum 1-year verifiable experience driving Class A commercial vehicle preferred. Must have a Class A or B commercial driver's license. Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen Must have a good driving record, according to company requirements. Must Pass clearinghouse. Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations Experience in food/beverage product delivery and customer service preferred. Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required. Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required. Must be able to work independently. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations :
Must have Class A commercial driver's license with Air Brake endorsement (must also possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with FMCSA Part 391.41 prior to operating a commercial motor vehicle for the company) Physical
Demand / Working
Conditions :
The transport Driver must be able to stack and unstack items weighing 50-60 from a height of approximately six feet to the ground and push/pull up to 300 pounds with a handheld hook. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push/pull reach at shoulder, above and below shoulder. Required to work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) and humid environments throughout the year. Required to work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions. Exposed to noise and vibration
