A K-12 school in Bellingham, WA is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position spanning the upcoming school year (NSY). This role plays a crucial part in supporting students' emotional, social, and educational development within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students K-12
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Provide counseling and intervention services to support student well-being
Assist with behavior management strategies and crisis intervention as needed
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support planning
Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and school policies
Qualifications:
Degree in School Psychology or related field
Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting
Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention techniques
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize responsibilities effectively
