Locums OB/GYN Garden City & Dodge City, KS (Clinic + 24-Hour Call) Coverage Need

  • Assignment Dates:
  • - August 3-8, 12-14, 22-31 - September 2-3, 8-14, 22-28 - October 6-7, 15-22, 29-31 - December 21-28 - January 2-4 - Ongoing coverage beginning January 2026
  • Schedule: 24-hour shifts (7:00a-7:00a) including clinic and emergency OB/GYN call
  • Duration: Stretches of at least 7 days/month required
  • Reason: Two vacancies
  • Call Type: Inpatient + clinic, includes OB and emergency GYN
  • Position Details
  • Setting: Clinic and inpatient
  • Census:
  • - Clinic: 16-25 patients/day (75% GYN, 25% OB) - Inpatient: 3-6 patients/day - Deliveries: 50 births/month per facility
  • Surgical Block: 2 half-days/week (4-6 surgeries/week), no robotics
  • NICU: Level II (Garden City only), staffed with NNP and tele-neonatology
  • EMR: Epic
  • Support Staff: CRNAs, midwives, RN, MA, LPN/LVN, lab and x-ray techs
  • Submissions Requirements
  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
  • Active Kansas License: Highly preferred
  • BLS and DEA
  • DEA must remain active in Kansas for full duration of assignment
  • Clean malpractice / background: Highly preferred
  • Procedure Log (past 24 months):
  • - Minimum 5 C-sections - Minimum 5 hysterectomies - Minimum 50 total deliveries
  • Availability for listed date blocks
  • Must complete all Epic EMR modules and training before start date
  • NPDB Self-Inquiry required prior to offer
  • Skill Requirements
  • Full-scope OB/GYN
  • C-sections, hysterectomies, complicated deliveries, emergency OB/GYN procedures
  • Comfortable working both clinic and 24-hour call shifts
  • Epic EMR experience preferred (must note # of years, last use date, last facility used)
