Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

• This is a locum tenens opportunity for an inpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician.
• The role is based in a facility with approximately 20+ beds in the unit and supported by a full ancillary staff.
• The practice consists of 4 PM&R physicians.
• The physician will handle an average of 20+ patients per day.
• Responsibilities include documentation for discharge summaries, weekly care plans, and pre-admission screening per CMS guidelines.
• Other duties include clinical staff meetings, narcotic prescribing, and completing histories and physicals.
• The facility does not have trauma or emergent care units.
• EMR system used is Epic.
• Mileage and malpractice insurance are covered.
• Assignment duration is 3 6 months.

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
• Active Connecticut medical license
• ACLS certification
• DEA license
• Experience with inpatient rehab and CMS documentation protocols preferred
