Qualifications
- 0-1 year experience in commercial kitchens preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations preferred
- Willingness to cross-train across various stations
- Ability to train and mentor new team members
- Coachable and eager to learn
- Self-motivated and disciplined
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
- Physical stamina for shifts of at least 8 hours
Compensation
- $15-$16/hr along with benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and 401K
- 50% off meals during shifts and 20% off meals off duty
- 5 vacation days after one year of employment with a minimum of 30 hours per week
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare food items per specifications, manage assigned stations, and ensure proper food storage using FIFO methods.
- Carry out daily tasks including prep lists, restocking, health inspection checks, safety protocols, line checks, food quality assessments, sanitation, and catering support.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff and mentoring teammates.
- Communicate any facility maintenance needs.
- Foster positive relationships with Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams.
- Engage in ongoing training opportunities and participate in scheduled restaurant events.
