Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

A well-established full-service accounting and advisory firm is seeking a skilled and client-focused Bookkeeper to join their team. This newly created role will provide hands-on financial support for a variety of clients, handling day-to-day bookkeeping functions, preparing financial reports, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with tax-related tasks when needed. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently while engaging with clients and their business associates in a professional and personable manner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a flexible, collaborative environment and is eager to help shape and grow a new service area within the firm.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients
  • Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare and process payments, deposits, and reconciliations
  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts for client organizations
  • Generate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP
  • Prepare and file required tax forms as needed
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve accounting discrepancies and answer financial questions
  • Support client business operations with timely, accurate, and clear financial data
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial records
  • Participate in process improvements for the bookkeeping function as the department grows
Bookkeeper Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
  • Degree in Accounting or related field, and experience with tax preparation is preferred
