Base pay range
$60,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
A well-established full-service accounting and advisory firm is seeking a skilled and client-focused Bookkeeper to join their team. This newly created role will provide hands-on financial support for a variety of clients, handling day-to-day bookkeeping functions, preparing financial reports, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with tax-related tasks when needed. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently while engaging with clients and their business associates in a professional and personable manner. Bookkeeper Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients
- Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and process payments, deposits, and reconciliations
- Maintain and update the chart of accounts for client organizations
- Generate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and file required tax forms as needed
- Collaborate with clients to resolve accounting discrepancies and answer financial questions
- Support client business operations with timely, accurate, and clear financial data
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial records
- Participate in process improvements for the bookkeeping function as the department grows
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Degree in Accounting or related field, and experience with tax preparation is preferred
