The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality team and ensuring that all quality-related tasks are completed on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. This role focuses on maintaining food safety standards, preventing contamination, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Quality Director in managing quality assurance functions.
- Maintain HACCP, Safe Quality Foods (SQF), and other food safety systems.
- Prepare for, assist with, and conduct second- and third-party audits.
- Complete customer questionnaires related to product quality and safety.
- Monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Review, update, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), SQF procedures, HACCP programs, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct employee training on food safety and quality standards.
- Promote food safety and ensure adherence to USDA and company regulations.
- Lead and supervise the QA team.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality assurance within a food production environment (required).
- SQF and HACCP certifications (required).
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to address issues diplomatically.
- Experience working with USDA and/or FDA regulations (preferred).
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business or equivalent related experience/training (preferred).
