Seasonal Produce Clerk

provides vital support as part of the Produce team, engaging in tasks such as receiving and preparing products, maintaining appealing displays, and delivering outstanding customer service in line with Whole Foods Market (WFM) standards. This role involves breaking down deliveries, stocking shelves, and ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations, including Food Safety standards. As a key member of the team, you will help create a positive shopping experience, ensuring that all duties are performed according to WFM’s core values and goals. Key Responsibilities

Maintain fresh and attractive displays by keeping shelves and cases clean, well-stocked, front-facing, and removing expired products. Assist the Team Leader in organizing seasonal and high-volume items for display. Monitor product freshness and communicate any spoilage to buyers and supervisors. Complete required reports such as spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets. Assist with inventory checks as necessary. Arrive on time, well-groomed, ready to work, and attend scheduled meetings and trainings. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs promptly, employing effective suggestive selling techniques. Optimize sales opportunities through efficient prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising of products. Adhere to established health, sanitation, and safety practices. Ensure a clean and sanitized work environment and maintain equipment according to cleanliness and safety standards. Carry out opening, mid, and closing duties and verify accuracy of signs and pricing. Report any safety hazards and violations immediately. Perform additional duties as needed, assigned by store or regional leadership. Skills Required

No previous retail experience is necessary. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must stand or walk for 6-8 hours during work shifts. Hand use includes gripping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Exposure to cleaning chemicals approved by the FDA. Ability to work in varying temperatures, including up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is needed. Use of tools and equipment such as knives and electric pallet jacks may be required. May involve the use of ladders.
