Dean-Osteopathic Medicine

at the Moultrie, Georgia campus. As a senior academic officer for PCOM South Georgia, the Dean will provide strategic and operational leadership across all facets of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program, including curriculum, faculty affairs, student engagement, research, and community outreach. Reporting to the Dean and Provost of the Philadelphia campus (parent campus), the Dean will serve as the primary liaison for PCOM South Georgia, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities while advancing the unique mission and identity of the Moultrie campus. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced academic leader who is passionate about osteopathic medical education and dedicated to serving rural and underserved communities in Georgia and beyond. The Dean will oversee academic departments, build meaningful connections with students and faculty, represent the institution to external stakeholders, and play a key role in promoting PCOMs mission to educate health professionals who care for the whole person. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Directs, supervises, and/or participates in all functions of PCOM South GA e.g. medical education, student services, academic program finances, budgets, goals and objectives, legal documents, strategic planning, policy-making, research, and other areas as required. Consults and collaborates with the parent campus Dean and Provost, President, Sr. Administration teams to fulfill essential duties as required for PCOM South GA. Meets with faculty members and faculty committees on a routine/as needed basis. Holds formal/informal meetings with representatives from each student class. Apprises the parent campus Dean and Provost/Sr. Vice President for Academic Affairs of all pertinent matters related to the PCOM, South GA. Develops and maintains rapport with legislators in connection with college-related matters, alumni, representatives of other medical institutions, etc., promoting the college and the osteopathic philosophy. Represents PCOM and Osteopathic Medicine to the community, legislature, and fellow educational institutions. Represents the college and campus at national, state and local meetings, as well as conferences and conventions. Recommends to and participates in the creation and implementation of the mission and strategic plan for the PCOM, South GA location. Qualifications: DO degree required, with AOA certified residency and specialty board certification. Relevant leadership experience with budget oversight. Training as an Associate/Assistant Dean, Chair or strategic leader of an academic unit at a college of osteopathic medicine, allopathic medicine, military or public health facility. Evidence of attainment of Board Certification is required. The ideal candidate will be: An
