Description: The candidate will provide field applications customer support utilizing Analog Devices’ broad product portfolio focusing on robotics applications including power, connectivity, motor control, and system architecture. This involves working directly with robotics customers, sales teams, and product development teams to identify key opportunities and position the best solutions tailored to customer needs to grow Analog Devices market share. The primary focus will be robotics with secondary support for targeted instrumentation customers. This position will be based in the San Jose market with limited travel for significant robotics customers. Activities include, but are not limited to: Understanding and disseminating Customers' system needs versus wants Proposing component level and system solutions to customers Working closely with sales engineering developing/maintaining customer relationships Providing training to customers on Analog Devices' solutions and products Developing/maintaining relationships with key Product Lines' Management, Marketing, and Application Engineering. Facilitating collaboration between customers and product lines to a address customers’ needs Communicating and translating customer problems via in depth system understanding Continually studying and understanding new product technology Attending regular training to develop expertise in ADI’s component-level, system, and platform technologies Qualifications BSEE or equivalent - MSEE preferred Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills 7-15+ years’ experience in product, design, and/or field applications engineering or equivalent Expertise in two or more of the following areas: robotics system architecture, ethernet connectivity, GMSL, motor control, mixed-signal instrumentation Design capabilities at the board and system level Excellent lab measurement and troubleshooting skills Experience in the following areas helpful: Processors, firmware development, AI, ATE Basic programming skills: Python and/or C Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize/multi-task several concurrent projects Ability to coach/teach/help others with design issues Ability to deliver convincing presentations U.S. Citizenship Required Regional Travel (primarily West Coast) 10-15% For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Job Req Type: Experienced Required Travel: Yes, 25% of the time Shift Type: 1st Shift/Days The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $158,700 to $218,213. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
