We have an opportunity for you!Job Summary: The Assembler assembles and tests fire protection valves for the organization.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor. Analyzes work orders, blueprints, shop data, and/or descriptions to determine the materials required to assemble the valves as requiredResponsible for collecting and matching up parts, files, and serial numbersResponsible for assembling components within a valveOccasionally will test new product parts for the Engineering DepartmentPerforms various visual inspectionsResponsible for operating machinery and may perform minor repairs as neededReworks valves that were denied by pressure testing by Trim AssemblersTests and isolates issues with products that were returned to the Product Development DepartmentResponsible for making sure the area is clean and safe by maintain and promoting the Company's 5S programPerforms other duties as directedCompetencies:Excellent attention to detail and accuracyOutstanding organization and documentation skillsPrioritize and complete a variety of tasks in a timely mannerStrong hand and eye coordination in a fast pace environmentExcellent verbal, written and reading comprehension skillsPossess a strong commitment to team environment while working well with othersSkills:Well-versed in analyzing and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and/or descriptionWorking knowledge of gauges and valves to assemble and identify improvement possibilitiesKnowledge of hand tools and large scale machinesSolid understanding of mathematics and the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryWorking knowledge of machines and computersKnowledge of standard safety practicesWork Environment: The physical environment requires the employee to work in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Required to use personal protective equipment while on the jobPhysical Demands: Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basisThe person in this position needs to wear appropriate safety clothing and shoes when needed.
