Shipping & Receiving Clerk
A fast-paced production and distribution company is seeking a highly motivated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily operations. This position plays a critical role in managing inbound and outbound shipments, inventory control, and supplemental production work. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a physically active role. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and count incoming stock for damage or discrepancies Log and track inventory in the company's system by purchase order and ship date Process shipments and returns via UPS/FedEx and freight carriers Coordinate with vendors and internal operations to ensure timely delivery and receipt Package and kit parts accurately for outgoing shipments based on sales orders Track return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) and defective product resolutions Ensure warehouse is clean and organized using 5S methodology or similar Support monthly and annual physical inventory counts Assist with production support tasks including baseline assembly work Maintain open communication with facility management and operations team Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, and customer service Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software (Sage or QuickBooks) Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift (certification required) Must possess valid driver's license and pass drug/background checks Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills Comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment Must be adaptable, reliable, and highly results-oriented Preferred Attributes Self-starter who moves with a sense of urgency Comfortable learning and adjusting to evolving processes Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and attention to detail Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $19.00
