Northrop Grumman is looking for a talented system engineer to pioneer how to safely design and operate the next generation ICBM weapon system. A Nuclear Surety engineer has the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. Nuclear Surety ensures that nuclear weapons are protected against peacetime and wartime threats at all times. This role will be located in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package. A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman on the Sentinel program will be provided the opportunity to: Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems Use model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design Learn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and Munitions Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience Must have experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORs, Cameo, TeamCenter, GIT, JAZZ, NX, Capitol Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.) Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Sole Citizenship to the United States of America Position Benefits: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts This position is contingent upon program award anticipated in the third quarter of 2025.
