Prime Air Drone Engineering Leadership Opportunity

The Prime Air team is looking for a strong technical and business leader to lead our Drone Engineering teams. In this role, you play a critical role in defining the technical vision and roadmap for our drone, which is the central product in our goal of delivering millions of packages to customers within 30 minutes. To do this, you influence and partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, Regulatory and Operations leaders within Prime Air and across Amazon. Key job responsibilities include engineering, integration, and delivery of the Prime Air drone vehicle system. This includes the design and development of the drone hardware systems as well as integrating all the subsystems on the drone to a launch. The ideal candidate is passionate about and experienced in working back from the customer to develop new, breakthrough products. They are experienced in designing, building, integrating, testing, and certifying aerospace artifacts. As a technical leader, you will lead teams of top-notch mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers as well as research and applied scientists to deliver high-quality, aerospace grade products. As the leader responsible for developing an integrated product, you have experience developing an integrated product development plan and leading a team of senior engineering managers and technical program managers to execute to it. You have proven analytical, strategic, technical, and program management success as well as the ability to recruit and develop high-caliber leaders and individuals. This role represents significant intellectual, technical, and innovation challenges with large opportunity for business impact.
