Experienced Scrum Master capable of supporting growing number of teams (3-4 Agile teams). Requires full understanding of the processes, procedures and systems. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve efficiency of own and other teams. Helps resolve complex problems and is able to identify viable and often innovative options. Understands scaling characteristics. Begins to influence outside of immediate work and/or Agile team. Shares knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among and across Agile teams and ensures the timely communication of issues and encouragement of good working relationships with other functions and teams. Supports an environment where team freely escalates challenges; facilitates change through positive reinforcement of successes. Undergraduate or post graduate degree. Certified Scrum Master and 3+ years of Scrum Master experience. 7+ years Agile experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of agile theory, methodology, techniques, rules, and practices, estimating/sizing, planning, forecasting, reporting, conflict resolution and facilitation. Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends. Ability to establish goals and objectives that support delivery execution for multiple teams. Ability to contribute to the direction of the function and provide advice to the team and delivery leadership. Ability to lead, plan, execute and evaluate project activities to ensure completion of initiatives. Skill in mentoring, and performance management. Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques. Skill in using computer applications including MS Office and industry standard Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across teams and functions. Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and drive team execution. Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions. Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. End-to-end facilitation of the Agile processes. Drives continuous improvement and change, acting as a change agent to adapt processes to maximize productivity throughout the project lifecycle. Engages appropriate stakeholders to identify and manage impediments and required outcomes of projects for the business. Identifies Agile team improvement opportunities and looks externally for best practices in order to increase team productivity. Makes sure there is no hidden work, ensuring that everything the Agile Team is working on is acknowledged and accounted for in the Product Backlog, protecting the team from distractions. Owns enforcement of the Agile practices and ceremonies. Provides advice and guidance to the Agile project team, as required, regarding best practices in Agile project management. Manages Work In Progress Limits, making sure the team is not working on too many stories/tasks at once, and helps them get into a flow of starting and completing work in a predictable manner. Encourages the Team to look for opportunities to support each other (e.g., focus on higher priority Stories that team members are struggling with). Ensures a collaborative culture exists within the Team, promotes team building and ensures team engagement. Coordinates and facilitates ceremony logistics and ensures all Agile ceremonies/processes are held and all team members are present and on time, in particular the daily stand-up meeting and engagement of control partners. Works across the Agile team to ensure Agile artifacts and information are accurate and update to date. Adheres to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area. Ensures respective policies/practices are well executed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities. Drives project execution that is aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives. Adheres to enterprise governance to ensure that projects meet all the performance, quality and compliance standards and follows the approved methodology. Works directly with key stakeholders to remove impediments and help manage cross- Agile team dependencies. Shares accountability with Agile Coach (and CoE where applicable) for spreading best practices throughout the team and organization. Collaborates with Product Owner(s), Technology Lead(s) and Team(s) on Sprint planning, impediment removal, and Team execution. Keeps abreast of emerging impediments, issues, trends, and assess potential impacts. Maintains a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite. Participates fully as a member of the Agile team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest. Provides thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for Agile execution and participates in capability building for the team and business unit. Keeps current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, and Agile related tools / techniques. Keeps others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities. Contributes to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging best practices. Leads, motivates and develops relationships with internal and external Agile teams to develop productive working relationships. Contributes to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce. Demonstrates adaptability, flexibility and creativity in their approach to stakeholder engagement and work to support the Agile transformation agenda.
