KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assemble vehicle structures, drivetrains, battery packs, wiring harnesses, suspension systems, and interior components according to work instructions or engineering drawings Safely handle and install high-voltage components following lockout/tagout and de-energization procedures Route and secure wiring harnesses, coolant lines, and control systems for EV-specific assemblies Perform torque checks, alignments, and fit-and-finish inspections to ensure build quality Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment to perform assembly tasks Follow build schedules and maintain documentation of completed work and any deviations Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and testing teams to identify and resolve build issues Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with 5S and safety standards Participate in training for EV-specific assembly methods, safety requirements, and product updates Repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical powertrain and charging infrastructure using skills and tools that range from computer diagnostics to basic electrical tools – able to use a digital voltmeter, vector canalyzer (or some level of experience in failure diagnosis) Keep accurate and detailed records of work performed and parts used Assist with training and mentoring of new technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise While the position may occasionally require additional hours, overtime will be limited and is subject to prior approval based on business needs Ability to track work through Jira and other Atlassian tools QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive, electrical, or mechanical fields preferred Familiarity with EV components such as battery systems, inverters, motors, and charging systems (preferred) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, and work instructions Experience with torque tools, precision measuring devices, and basic electrical testing equipment Strong focus on safety, especially when working with high-voltage systems Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented production environment Valid driver’s license PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks Lift and move components up to 50 lbs, sometimes with assistance Work in various positions including bending, kneeling, and overhead assembly Use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and high-voltage protective gear
