Senior Paralegal
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to support The Department of Justice out of Los Angeles. This role requires high-level legal research, document preparation, case coordination, along with strong organizational and communication skills. This position requires no more than 40 hours a week, while providing the unique opportunity to work on high profile cases. Responsibilities of the Senior Paralegal include: Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and pleadings. Assists in the development of case referrals by ensuring that referrals meet agency and USAO standards for litigation Conduct legal research to support case strategy and filings. Assist attorneys with trial preparation and logistics, managing witnesses, researching case law, and supporting attorneys in court. Manage case files and ensure timely document submission. Mentor junior paralegals and legal assistants. Qualifications for the Senior Paralegal include: U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited institution. 3+ years of paralegal or litigation experience. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software (LEXIS & Westlaw). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. At least one year of experience in automated litigation support. Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources. Compensation and Benefits: $73,000 - $83,000 dependent on experience.
