Power Generation Data Analyst Intern

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Power Generation Data Analyst Intern in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin within the Operational Excellence and Innovation Task Force. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office. The starting hourly rate for this position is $22.00 with paid company holidays. This internship is full-time during the Summer of 2026 with the potential to work part-time during the fall/school year. Join the Operational Excellence and Innovation Task Force to work on initiatives across WEC Energy Group that drive continuous improvement in our operations and centralized business processes. Learn about aspects of field operations, electric and gas distribution, power generation, customer service, supply chain and more. Use your data science and data analysis skills to help the team discover and analyze opportunities and make them a reality. Help the team make data driven decisions and visualize data and metrics to improve operations and effectiveness. Work on innovative solutions that drive efficiency, effectiveness and ease in our business. Some or all of the below based on the candidate's background/skills: Perform data collection, data mining, data cleaning, ETL, and organization of data from a variety of sources including relational databases Perform data analysis and potentially data engineering Help develop data visualizations, metrics and live dashboard Potentially create new ways for operations to collect, analyze, display and use data Collaborate with team members, IT and various work groups as needed Alternate between remote and office work as needed (hybrid setting) Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or HSED Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Data Analytics or related degree with a graduation date after June 2026. Minimum GPA of 2.8 Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a hybrid setting Experience with SQL, Python Experience with Power BI Experience writing code, programs, and/or algorithms
