Maintenance Electrician

This individual will install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment by performing the following duties:

Responsibilities

Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers. Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment. Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wire and cables. Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunctions with the maintenance manager. Replace faulty electrical components on machines such as relays, switches, motors, position sensing devices, AC/DC Drives, and PLC components. Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. Replace electric motor bearings, brushes, and rewire motors for installation. Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings in accordance with NEC. Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment as necessary. Essential Skills

Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. Competency in installing and wiring electrical systems. Familiarity with 480v systems and high voltage work. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical components. Experience with preventive maintenance of industrial machinery. Skilled in using multimeters and other diagnostic tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 3 to 5 years of experience preferred. Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $78041.60 - $78041.60/yr.
