Professional Nursing Tutor
As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Professional Nursing Tutor to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by providing exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff. This role actively supports our mission and identity by offering exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff through individualized nursing tutoring. This is a part-time, 12 month position, averaging 5 hours per week, with flexibility to work both in-person and remotely, based on campus needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Actively engages the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values, honoring the legacy of the founding congregation, promoting unity in diversity, and integrating the Catholic Franciscan Intellectual traditions in courses, programs, and services. Provide one-on-one and group tutoring appointments to support learners in all of Marian University's undergraduate nursing programs. Create a welcoming environment that respects and adapts to everyone's learning styles and backgrounds. Help learners become more confident, self-directed, and academically successful. Demonstrate expertise in nursing theory, nursing practice, and nursing concepts. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors. Required Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in nursing Experience supporting the learners Previous experience as a tutor Currently credentialed as a registered nurse (RN) Graduated from Marian University's ABSN or traditional BSN program Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
