Shipping & Receiving Attendant I $19 - $21 Wolcott, NY

Schedule required for this position is Sunday - Thursday.

Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations. Experience and ability to operate an electric pallet jack safely Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory or warehouse management systems and RF scanners.

Job Summary It is the responsibility of the Shipping/Receiving Attendant l to demonstrate efficient and accurate management of all incoming and outgoing egg shipments, ensuring quality control, inventory management, and timely order fulfillment to meet or exceed customer standards. This role will involve the careful handling of eggs throughout the shipping and receiving lifecycle, from processing to packaging and dispatch under direct supervision. Attendants must ensure all eggs are handled and stored according to quality and safety standards, while adhering to food safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities It is the responsibility of the Shipping/Receiving Attendant I to learn Kreher’s pre-established shipping/receiving and palletizing procedures and guidelines, and while working under direct supervision: Check paperwork before unloading, counting all items to make sure they match the paperwork. Inspect all items for damage. Report all damage to a supervisor immediately. Make sure incoming product is put away in the correct place. Label all incoming product with a Julian date or date received. Keep coolers, dock and warehouse clean and organized (wash trucks, sweep floors, etc.) Ensure all pallets and carts are wrapped securely before loading. Before loading a truck, work with supervisor to map out the load. Make sure the truck is clean and odor free. Check temperatures to make sure reefer is running properly prior to loading. Secure dock plate before loading. Cardboard must be used under flat plates to avoid slipping. Double check invoices and pick tickets to be sure correct items are being placed on the pallet. When building pallets, ensure proper rotation (first in, first out). Record Julian dates on the load sheets and invoices, and initial all pick tickets. Complete a pre-operational inspection on electric pallet jacks prior to use. Demonstrate strong awareness and pallet jack safety while in operation of the unit. Handle all products carefully. If any damage occurs, report all damages to a supervisor, and do not ship damaged product. Secure trucks using load bars and straps. Ensure all products are scanned completely prior to loading onto the truck. Make sure all trucks are locked if they are moved away from the dock. Maintain a positive attitude throughout each work shift. Have the ability to be flexible when situational priorities change throughout the day. Assist in other areas as required
