Assistant General Counsel
position is for an attorney who will be responsible for regulatory matters and business transactions associated with Kinder Morgan’s Natural Gas Group. Successful candidates should have extensive experience with regulatory matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including certificate, rate and tariff matters, and general business transactions affecting interstate natural gas pipelines. The core responsibilities of this position will include providing day-to-day legal advice, counsel, and services to the regulatory, commercial, and business development teams working on Kinder Morgan’s extensive interstate natural gas pipeline systems. This position will require a motived self-starter with strong skills in FERC regulatory matters, as well as negotiating, drafting, and implementing long-term transportation and storage agreements, precedent agreements, regulatory pleadings, and other commercial agreements. The position will require excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with attorneys and colleagues working in other Kinder Morgan office locations and business segments.
