Job Summary: The CREB Senior Underwriter (SUW) is responsible for performing deal analysis, preparing supporting justification, and processing approvals. The SUW understands key policies and regulations affecting transactions. As a senior member of the CREB market team, the SUW is aligned to specific Line of Business regions/markets, working with Credit Officers in a designated market and managing a portfolio of clients. The role involves jointly underwriting and closing new CRE transactions and modifying existing facilities, as well as advising on post-closing credit actions. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, collaboration, operational excellence, and influence skills. This position can be filled as a CREB Originations Senior Underwriter (SUW) or a CREB Originations Underwriter (UW), depending on experience. The role involves analyzing credit exposures, supporting documentation, managing approvals, and handling activities related to origination, renewal, and modification of facilities, including risk assessment and profitability modeling. Credit products include CRE secured construction, term, bridge, subscription, unsecured, and traded products. Responsibilities: Assess and analyze new and modified credit exposures, including collateral, market, and sponsor/guarantor considerations. Support credit officers with screening memos and term sheets. Capture data for new originations. Prepare approval documents and manage due diligence for closing. Handle activities related to origination, renewal, modification, and extension of facilities, including risk rating and profitability analysis. Process credit actions through approval systems. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Commercial Real Estate Credit Experience for Underwriters, 5+ years for Senior Underwriters. Strong financial analysis skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptability to new technologies. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Experience with Money Center or Regional Banks.
