Role Overview
We are seeking a
Core Banking Functional Lead
to drive the successful execution of banking transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, vendor coordination, and stakeholder engagement—particularly with banking partners. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring seamless delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Lead functional analysis and solution design for core banking systems Proposal create, review, refine and present Coordinate with vendors, technical teams, and bank stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery Oversee execution of system enhancements, integrations, and migrations Manage requirement gathering, gap analysis, and documentation (BRD, FSD, UAT plans) Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance Support SIT/UAT cycles and post-go-live stabilization Provide leadership and mentorship to junior functional analysts Act as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams and external partners Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related field 5–12 years of experience in core banking transformation or functional consulting Strong knowledge of platforms like Temenos, Finacle, CGI or Flexcube Proven experience in vendor management, project execution, and bank coordination Familiarity with BPMN, API integrations, and system architecture Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Experience in leading multi-country or regional banking projects Understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Certification in project management or business analysis is a plus
