Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking to hire an Associate attorney to join the Public Finance Department in the Chicago office. The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of general finance or transactional experience at a bank or large or medium-size firm.
Desired experience includes: Experience with drafting financing documents, document review, legal research, and writing memorandums Familiarity with transactional work focusing on public finance transactions, including municipal derivatives and bond issues Experience working and communicating directly with clients The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials as well as superior interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills. Commitment to client service is critical, as is the ability to handle fast-paced transactions and juggle multiple projects and deadlines. Successful candidates will project a professional presence, demonstrate flexibility in work situations, and be willing to accept constructive feedback. Candidates must be members in good standing of the appropriate state Bar.
In accordance with the Illinois Pay Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $225,000 - $260,000.
