Instructional Designer The Instructional Designer will create engaging, accessible, and effective learning content aligned with adult learning principles and industry standards. This role will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and multimedia teams to develop online modules, assessments, and supporting documentation. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that our students can confidently navigate insurance licensing requirements and deliver exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Design and develop online learning content using eLearning authoring tools Develop instructor-led training (ILT) materials, guides, and presentations. Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to analyze learning needs and translate complex insurance topics into accessible, learner-friendly content. Ensure content is SCORM- or AICC-compliant for deployment to learning platform. Apply adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) to deliver effective learning experiences. Maintain and organize a structured library of learning materials for multiple courses and states. Use multimedia tools (Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, Canva) to create engaging visual content, including graphics, animations, and videos. Develop knowledge checks, quizzes, and assessments to measure learner outcomes. Maintain and update existing content based on learner feedback, regulatory changes, or program updates. Ensure all training content meets accessibility standards and is suitable for diverse learner populations. Coordinate project timelines and stakeholder feedback to deliver high-quality materials on schedule. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in instructional design or curriculum development, preferably with online learning. Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise 360). Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deploy and manage content. Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, or similar). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Property & Casualty insurance concepts or willingness to learn rapidly with SME support. P&C licensed is highly desirable. Experience designing training for adult learners preparing for licensure or certification exams. Knowledge of accessibility standards in digital learning. Experience developing micro-learning or mobile-first content. Video production and editing experience for instructional purposes.
