Job Overview: The Systems Operations Engineer 3 will play a critical role in application support within a production environment. The candidate will collaborate with a team and lead the incident, change, and problem management processes for all applications. This role involves identifying gaps in the existing monitoring setup and driving efforts to close those gaps. The candidate will also communicate with application development partners to assist in prioritizing non-functional requirements during sprint cycles, create escalation matrices, and ensure effective communication with all key stakeholders in the application support organization.
Responsibilities: Provide application support in a production environment. Own and manage incidents, change, and problem management processes. Identify and address gaps in the existing monitoring setup. Collaborate with application development partners to prioritize non-functional requirements. Create and maintain escalation matrices. Communicate effectively with stakeholders in the application support organization. Qualifications:
DevOps, SRE, or deployment automation skills. Strong knowledge of service management disciplines, including incident, problem, and change management. Hands-on technical engineering skills with the ability to work on various technologies. Working knowledge of payment systems.
Desired Skills:
Experience in systems engineering or technology/production engineering roles within financial services. Proven expertise in global automation functions. Experience with payment systems such as Fedwire, CHAPS, or RTGS, or liquidity platforms. Strong grasp of ITIL practices and modern DevOps/SRE methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the executive level. Data-driven, risk-aware mindset with proficiency in tools such as ServiceNow, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Control-M.
