Position Summary

n

The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key accounts and other designated accounts within an assigned territory. The AE serves as the primary point of contact for these accounts, achieving revenue targets, developing and executing strategic sales programs, building relationships, and identifying and closing new business opportunities.

n

In this role, you will represent the Kiva Confections portfolio , the national leader in premium cannabis edibles, bringing a nationally proven sales and marketing strategy to life in New Mexico. Your focus will be on the Camino line of terpene-tailored fruit gummies and Lost Farm , Kiva’s strain-specific, live rosin and live resin infused edibles known for full-spectrum flavor and authenticity.

You will also represent Verdes Cannabis’ award-winning beverage line and a full catalog of medical and recreational products across multiple categories, working to expand their presence and market share alongside Kiva brands.

Core Responsibilities

    n
  • Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets by managing and growing sales within existing accounts and proactively securing new business.
  • n
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at assigned accounts, including owners, buyers, dispensary managers, and budtenders.
  • n
  • Collaborative Program Development: Partner with Kiva trade marketing, Verdes marketing, and retail partners to create and execute Sales Driving Activities such as promotional programs, incentives, contests, merchandising, product launches, training, and brand-building initiatives.
  • n
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage sales data and analytics to guide territory strategies, identify opportunities, and measure program performance.
  • n
  • New Business Development: Identify and close new account opportunities while expanding Kiva and Verdes brand distribution in existing accounts.
  • n
  • KPI Achievement: Support the achievement of company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to sales, distribution, field activities, and brand awareness.
  • n
  • CRM Ownership: Manage all territory activities and account interactions in HubSpot, ensuring accurate contact data, thorough activity logs, and timely follow-up.

  • Proven ability to manage and grow key accounts, successfully selling premium products in competitive markets while building relationships that drive revenue growth and market share.

Job Requirements

n
    n
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • n
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in CPG, spirits/wine/beer, or cannabis strongly preferred.
  • n
  • 2+ years of cannabis industry experience preferred.
  • n
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel extensively within assigned territory (approx. 4 days/week).
  • n
  • Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report requirements.
  • n
  • Ability to be present in Albuquerque office
  • n
n

Physical and Emotional Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, 8 – 10 hours multiple days in a row

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Compensation

n
    n
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000 annually, with a 70/30 base-to-commission split.
  • n
  • Base salary plus uncapped commission structure designed to reward performance and revenue growth.
