TITLE: Mail Services Clerk

DEPARTMENT: Property

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

SALARY: $17.00 hourly

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

One year of mail operations experience preferred

Ability to be a self starter, work independently and make decisions based on general instructions and established procedures.

Excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly and effectively

Ability to read and understand instructions

A strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organizational skills

Have working knowledge of Pitney Bowes postage meters and equipment

A strong understanding of USPS postage regulations and requirements

Ability to utilize online shipping services, UPS, FedEx and DHL

Have a working knowledge of MS Office Software; with a strong understanding of Excel

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sort and distribute internal and incoming mail to the Departments

Deliver FedEx, DHL and UPS packages as they arrive

Process USPS bulk mail, business mail and express mail

Have postage meter verified every six months by Postmaster

Maintain records of incoming registered, insured and certified mail

Clean and maintain mailroom equipment; contact service when repairs are needed

Become familiar with THQ Organization set-up and all changes as they occur

Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis

Ability to be on feet all day and maintain a demanding pace throughout the day

Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead

Ability to operate telephone

Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (usually file boxes)

Ability to access and produce information from a computer

Ability to understand written information
