Join our dynamic team as a Senior Material Handler, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of goods within our logistics operations. This position is perfect for individuals who are dedicated, detail-oriented, and ready to take on new challenges. Your responsibilities will include: Verifying vendor accuracy and creating bill of ladings (BOLs). Ensuring cargo is undamaged and correctly labeled, while performing thorough quality checks. Handling hazardous materials and completing necessary paperwork, including MSDS documentation. Fulfilling client orders efficiently and in accordance with Crane standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conducting distribution activities that comply with internal quality standards while prioritizing safety. Reading and following work orders to determine materials and container loads for movement. Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment, including high-reach vehicles. Loading and unloading materials safely onto various storage units. Counting, weighing, and recording unit numbers on daily production sheets. Labeling materials appropriately and scanning freight using RF equipment. Completing required paperwork accurately and promptly. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment through regular housekeeping tasks. Loading client merchandise with care and courtesy. Participating on-site at the assigned work location and being an active member of the Safety Committee. Exhibiting competency in training others and being familiar with all accounts and floor functions. Performing additional duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities: Strong numerical skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to read and understand basic checklists and forms. Proactive problem identification and resolution skills. Strong teamwork and individual working abilities. Consistent attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements: Ability to use vision and focus on standard computer screens. Capacity to stand or sit for long periods and engage in physical activities like reaching and lifting. Regular lifting and moving of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Over three years of related experience is desirable. Why Join Crane?
