Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the EMERGENCY PLANNING DIVISION (CODE 1130) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will assist with the development of the Command's emergency planning program, which includes establishing command response capabilities for natural and man-made disasters not associated with the nuclear reactor plant or reactor plant equipment. You will prepare detailed procedures for implementation of emergency preparedness plans, coordination of emergency response personnel, equipment, transportation, logistics, and identification of deficiencies and implementation of corrective actions. You will assess the emergency conditions, communicate and recommend the protective actions to federal, state and local government agencies, and disseminate information to the public. You will plan and conduct emergency drills and exercises to evaluate the Command's level of preparedness and will periodically conduct other training sessions to train emergency personnel, outside agencies, and facilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, interpreting and applying emergency management procedures and practices to prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural or man-made emergencies and disasters.
