Lead Data Engineer - Senior Level

What You'll Do:
Work closely with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support comprehensive technical solutions across various development tools and technologies.
Lead a skilled team of developers with expertise in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack systems.
Utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, Python, and work with both open-source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, alongside cloud-based data warehousing solutions like Redshift and Snowflake.
Stay updated on tech trends, engage in new technology exploration, participate in internal and external tech communities, and mentor fellow engineers.
Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans on their financial journeys.
Conduct unit tests and peer reviews to ensure rigorous design, clean coding, and optimal performance tuning of your solutions.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
At least 6 years of professional application development experience (Internship experience not counted)
At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies
A minimum of 1 year of experience in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree
9+ years of application development experience, including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
4+ years of experience with public cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
5+ years of proficiency with distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
4+ years working on real-time data and streaming applications
4+ years of NoSQL implementation experience (MongoDB, Cassandra)
4+ years in data warehousing technologies (Redshift or Snowflake)
4+ years of UNIX/Linux experience, including basic commands and shell scripting
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices
