$110,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Chamber of Progress, a center-left tech industry association devoted to technology’s progressive future, is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Financial Policy. This role will serve as our lead policy expert on financial policy, including digital assets, cryptocurrency, payments, and financial technology (fintech) services. Responsibilities Lead the organization's advocacy work on financial policy, including digital assets, cryptocurrency, payments, and financial technology (fintech) services. Serve as organization's in-house expert on financial policy issues Work closely with the association's corporate partners to support their public policy objectives Drive organization’s affirmative public affairs and policy campaign in support of financial innovation Promote financial inclusion and opportunity for historically underserved and underbanked communities Write letters, blog posts, statements, and testimony Testify before policymakers and organize policy events Engage in social media rapid response on regulatory news Engage with Administration officials, Members of Congress, and staff members on organization's policy agenda Build political and policy relationships with federal officials Work with association's state and local government relations directors to drive strategy on state and local financial policy issues Requirements Director: Minimum of 5 years of post-college work experience Senior Director: Minimum of 10 years of post-college work experience Aggressive mindset and bias toward action Experience in government, Democratic politics, or progressive causes Prior experience with financial services, fintech, or digital asset policy issues Outstanding writing abilities; must be a creative, succinct, and fast writer Prior experience driving a policy or regulatory campaign Role is located in Washington, DC area Compensation Director: starting salary between $110,000 - $140,000 annually (based on experience) Senior Director: starting salary between $140,000 - $180,000 annually (based on experience) Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) benefits included 401(k) retirement program with 4% employer matching Employer subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance 15 days of vacation in the first year of employment 8 paid holidays per year plus the week between Christmas Eve and New Years Day About Chamber of Progress Chamber of Progress ( progresschamber.org ) is a new center-left tech policy industry coalition working to help usher in a progressive high-tech future and ensure that all Americans benefit from technological leaps.
