Warehouse Inventory Lead

The Warehouse Inventory Lead is responsible for leading the team in the safe, accurate, and efficient operation of total warehouse standards and inventory. The main objective is to lower operating costs through decreased breakage, increased productivity, zero loading errors, and product out of stocks. Leads by example for others by creating and maintaining a workplace culture that engages and motivates employees at all levels and focuses on results to deliver success as measured by key performance metrics. This position is responsible for following company policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure the production, storage, and distribution of safe, quality food, and informing management of any observation or finding that could impact the safety and quality of company products. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Serves as a working lead of the forklift operator/material handlers. Provides direction to the team and escalates issues to management. Completes necessary documentation. Safely and proficiently operate various forklift equipment (i.e., sit-down, reach truck, pallet jack) to load and unload trucks and pull, prepare, stage, and organize inbound and outbound product meeting efficiency standards/timelines and customer requirements. Operates dock levelers. Labels all products and puts away products in designated areas. Inputs product information accurately into SAP, including the use of handheld scanners to enter data and process information for accurate records. Stack skids or pallets in designated areas; clean up and dispose of scraps, cardboard, plastic wrap, and trash. Maintains the facility's equipment and materials in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion and performs daily equipment checks in compliance with OSHA standards. Maintains a daily checklist for forklift care and maintenance. Effectively follows shipping and receiving procedures. Assists in conducting periodic inventory count. Identifies and reports faulty equipment damage and safety concerns to the supervisor immediately. Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED and 3-5 years equivalent Warehouse Lead experience; Minimum of 2 years' recent experience operating standard warehouse forklift equipment. Requires flexibility with schedule and working extended hours when needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to perform unit measures, conversion calculations, and other mathematical calculations reasonably necessary to satisfactorily perform job duties. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, including handheld scanners. Wear and use appropriate PPE, such as a hard hat, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, etc. Desired Qualifications:
SAP Software knowledge Physical / Mental Demands:
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds, sometimes for extended periods.
Work Environment:
This position is required to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
