Job Summary:
The Business Analytics & Financial Reporting team is seeking a Data Analyst, who will be responsible for building and enhancing business intelligence tools to provide key insights to the Southern Company Gas Engineering & Construction organization. In this fast-paced role, they will leverage their technical skills to compile data sets, create robust data models, automate processes, and build visualizations.
Responsibilities: Analyze large volumes of data including multiple databases and tables Develop and maintain dashboards to communicate insights to the business Conduct data research; identify and resolve discrepancies Identify data quality issues; develop and implement solutions Conduct ad hoc analysis Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a team and independently Working knowledge of data models and ETL processes 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries using joins and unions (Oracle SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio) Extensive experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools, including Power BI and Power Query Some knowledge of Python is preferred
