About the Role
As an Assembly Technician, you'll be at the heart of assembling and producing our home battery systems. This position involves a variety of tasks that support the efficient operation of our warehouse, including receiving and organizing materials, kitting job kits, operating equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks, and performing physical labor.
What You'll Do Detect issues in workflows and respond to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing.
Handle tools and fasten bolts mechanically within required cycle times—demonstrating speed and accuracy from day one and throughout your role.
Work with materials in our product assembly process, following strict waste handling and disposal protocols.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, as needed and comply with all safety rules to keep our team secure.
Receive and Store Inventory: Inspect your workstation and stock levels, record and track items using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), and complete tasks per work orders.
Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse, including sorting, labeling, and storing materials efficiently.
Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies as needed.
Forklift and Pallet Jack Operation: Safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks to move materials and equipment within the warehouse.
Recycling: Manage recycling of materials in compliance with environmental regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Essential Physical Demands Perform demanding physical tasks for extended periods, up to 12 hours a day, in our fast-paced Austin Warehouse and production facilities.
Frequently lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Bend, lift, and reach overhead to handle battery components of varying sizes and weights within tight timelines.
Stand and walk for up to 12 hours daily, navigating varied and uneven terrain.
Stoop, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, and twist for prolonged periods, up to 12 hours.
Required Skills / Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to lift between 50-70 lbs.
Experience in warehouse operations, material handling, or logistics preferred.
Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management System) is a plus.
Ability to operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Must be comfortable with manual labor and working in a physically demanding environment.
