Join The Mission To Return Humans To The Moon
Are you detail-oriented, systems-savvy, and motivated by contributing to high-stakes aerospace innovation? We are seeking a Quality Data Specialist to join a collaborative team supporting one of NASA's most ambitious programs the Space Launch System (SLS) at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and availability of Supplier Acceptance Data Packages (ADPs) by leading scanning and digital management efforts using the Common Supplier Data Tracking (CSDT) system. You will work closely with NASA teams and suppliers to uphold data fidelity and enable mission-critical quality assurance. What You'll Do: Accurately receive, verify, and validate completeness of supplier ADPs prior to digitization. Perform high-resolution document scanning and ensure legibility, completeness, and security of all digital files. Categorize and index scanned documents in alignment with CSDT data architecture and metadata guidelines. Upload and maintain digital documentation in CSDT within set program timelines. Conduct rigorous quality assurance checks on scanned content, and take proactive action to resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with NASA's data management, configuration control, and quality assurance teams to ensure records compliance. Securely manage physical and electronic ADPs in accordance with program confidentiality and data handling policies. Deliver regular updates on scanning progress, milestones, and any technical or process-related issues. Provide audit-ready documentation support during formal reviews, assessments, or data traceability exercises. What We're Looking For: Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Office Technology, Records Management, Library Science, or related field. 2+ years of hands-on experience in data management, document control, configuration management, or quality assurance support. Familiarity with document control platforms and digital records systems (e.g., CSDT, SharePoint, Documentum, or similar). Strong understanding of data security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., ITAR, export-controlled or proprietary data handling). Working knowledge of QA principles, document lifecycle workflows, and structured metadata tagging. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written/verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly regulated and mission-driven environment. Reside near or be willing to relocate to the New Orleans area. Preferred Qualifications (a plus, but not required): Experience supporting NASA, aerospace, or government contractors in a document or data coordination role. Knowledge of aerospace quality systems and standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Certification in records management or information governance (e.g., CRA, CIP, or AIIM credentials). What We Offer: The chance to support launch vehicle quality at a nationally significant site. Contribute to one of the most important spaceflight programs of our time. Engage with cutting-edge aerospace documentation processes and tools. Be part of a culture that values precision, integrity, and mission success. Competitive compensation and relocation assistance. If you're a systems-oriented professional with a passion for data quality and a desire to support national spaceflight objectives we want to hear from you.
