1st shift $20/hr Pageland, SC Job Responsibilities
Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety regulations. Use personal protection equipment at all times. Report any unsafe conditions or defective equipment to the supervisor immediately. Attend weekly safety meetings. Perform clean-up during downtime to keep machinery and surrounding areas free of debris. Clean machines, conveyors, and floors, and salvage reusable scrap. Transport trash and debris away from production areas. Keep pallets neat and orderly. Operate machinery or equipment safely as trained and instructed. Assist the lead operator in preparing for shift production. Operate equipment such as conveyors, ramps, elevators, hoppers, bagging and sealer machines, forklifts, palletizers, hydraulic equipment, powered tractors, and vehicles as required, upon completing internal certification. Assist in the loading/unloading of trucks. Complete shipping/receiving documents as needed. Package and label products properly. Handle stockpiles and verify loads leaving the premises. Maintain, verify, and count product inventory. Essential Skills
Experience in general labor, construction, or production is preferred. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and safety procedures. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide by 10s and 100s. Demonstrate lock-out tag-out procedures and keep the key lock at all times. Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs., and perform tasks involving extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, and using fall protection equipment.
