MIG Welder

Join a leading manufacturing company specializing in the fabrication of steel frames and cabinets for server rooms, data centers, and other data storage applications. The welding position is available due to industry growth, particularly driven by the increasing demand in work-from-home and online retail sectors. The role requires expertise in TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum metals to fabricate frames and shelving according to customer specifications. Proficiency in welding and blueprint reading is essential. Responsibilities

Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum metals. Execute straight and plug welds to fabricate frames and shelving based on customer specifications. Read and interpret blueprints accurately to ensure precise fabrication. Utilize skills in grinding, deburring, and sanding to finish products. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold safety standards. Essential Skills

Experience with TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. Knowledge of lap joint, tee joint, and butt joint welding techniques. Experience in assembly and fabrication processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in grinding, deburring, and sanding. Why Work Here?

The role is on the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am, with the option of a 3rd shift as well. Each welder has their own workspace, toolbox, and personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, steel-toe boots, eye protection, and ear protection as needed. The work environment is very clean, spacious, and well-ventilated, especially in the welding areas. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmingdale, New York. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
