We are seeking a Senior Network Systems Engineer to participate on design teams for computing infrastructure, primarily as a computer network designer or architect in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. In this role, you will participate in network engineering activities including product selection, design, development, deployment, integration and test. Note: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Some travel is required to offsite locations including direct waterfront support to surface ships. Basic Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance to be considered for this position. Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. 7+ years experience as a mid-senior experience as a Linux system or network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting a production computing infrastructure. Cyber security certification such as CompTIA Security+, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Knowledge of configuring and deploying network switches and routers including VLANs and routing protocols (including TCP/IP and Multicast). Desired Skills: In-depth knowledge in Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching. Strong understanding of Linux security, including SELinux, iptables, FreeIPA authentication service. Experience with scripting languages, such as Bash, and Python. Familiarity with automation tools, such as Ansible. The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
