Heavy Equipment Mechanic
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing various systems found on heavy machinery. This includes working with mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, and pneumatic systems. The role also involves troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and conducting repairs and services on track drive components, hydraulic systems, steering clutches, and hydrostatic transmissions. Additionally, the mechanic tunes diesel engines, services valves, fuel filters, turbochargers, and performs pressure checks and adjustments on fuel systems. The position entails diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, and reassembling units related to cooling, drive, brake, electrical, steering, heating, air conditioning, hydraulic, and air systems. Furthermore, the mechanic overhauls engines, replaces them, and rebuilds components, while maintaining cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work areas. Essential Skills
Proven mechanic experience of 4+ years working on heavy machinery such as Excavators, Loaders, Paving Machines, Backhoes, Bulldozers, Dump Trucks, Trenchers, Compactors, Graders, Telehandlers, Backhoe Loaders, Tower Cranes, Feller Bunchers, Dragline Excavator, Wheel Tractor Scraper, Pile Driving Machines, and Concrete Pumps. Experience in diesel, troubleshooting, heavy equipment, hydraulics, forklift repair, pneumatics, diesel engine, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Pay and Benefits
