Building Materials Supervisor
The Building Materials Supervisor oversees the timely and efficient fulfillment of truss orders to Sunpro Customers. Reporting to the Truss Operations Manager, key activities include: Visualizing, fulfilling, and implementing the company vision and core values; Timely and correctly overseeing the dispatch and delivery of materials to customers; Gathering information needed for deliveries and entering information in the computer; Continually monitoring demands, dispatching delivery trucks, and verifying each load; Maintaining complete and accurate documentation, reports, and sales records; Leading the oversight and maintenance of inventory; Assisting in managing operational and sales activities; Assisting customers in problem resolution; Reviewing, understanding, and adhering to Sunpro policies and procedures; May prepare daily cash on delivery (COD), special bank deposits, and other COD preparation; Maintaining an insurable driving record; Providing oversight of yard vehicles and equipment; Serving as a safety champion, ensuring compliance with all operations and safety requirements; Other duties as assigned. Knowledge and skills required include: Strong leadership and communication skills; Ability to develop and mentor others & foster teamwork; Basic knowledge of construction industry; Effective organizational skills; Strong computer and 10-key skills; General mathematic skills. Education/experience needed: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelor of Science degree in business or another related field.
