Quality Control Responsibilities:
- Write CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs in PC-DMIS and verify dimensional layouts according to blueprints - Complete internal and external PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process) according to customer specifications - Perform technical inspections/measurements of products using equipment, requiring exacting tolerances, using equipment such as a CMM, comparator, surface finish test equipment and related - Check first piece-part layout and tooling to tool print and customer part drawings - Supply inspection data to engineering, manufacturing and quality areas, and technical personnel at the customer's site - Adhere to ISO quality procedures - Perform 100% dimensional inspections - Perform lay-out, first piece and in process - Use precision inspection measuring devices - Operate and program CMM - Use calipers, micrometers, pin gages, drop indicators, part specific verification, tools and SolidWorks - Communicate with customer / vendor quality and engineering to achieve print compliant parts and components - Review work orders and determine specific inspection requirements/needs - Conduct inspections and tests (visual, dimensional, content, etc.) on incoming components and materials - Verify and identify incoming components/materials for inventory purposes - Identify, quarantine and document non-conforming parts or materials detected during incoming, WIP, or final inspection activities - Prepare and process inspection documents (packets, radiator id tags, etc.) - Conduct final inspection or audit of finished goods and ship-loose components to ensure conformance with order - Maintain inspection records relating to individual inspection activities Requirements for Quality Control:
- Able to lift 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally - Able to stand, walk, climb, crouch, bend and twist throughout shift
