We are looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - EW Analyst to join our Maritime/Land Systems & Sensors (MLSS) organization. The MLSS organization within Northrop Grumman Mission Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. You will be supporting the integration and verification of the most advanced EW system ever deployed on a Naval platform. This position is based out of Linthicum, MD and will be 100% on-site. What You'll Get to Do: As the Senior Principal Systems Engineer - EW Analyst for RF sensors you will work on some of the most advanced systems in the U.S. arsenal. These include radars for air dominance platforms (such as the F-22, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, F-16), bomber and strike programs (such as B-1B), airborne / maritime / ground-based surveillance missions (E-3 AWACS, E-7 MESA, TPS-80 G/ATOR, SEWIP Block 3 and UAV systems such as Global Hawk), as well as restricted programs and missions. We offer the opportunity to join a team to solve problems in the field and drive new solutions into next generation radar systems and air superiority platforms. Responsibilities include: Develop data analysis products that directly support an integration and test program on behalf of the Navy. Research into the intricacies of test data, uncovering insights that drive innovation and excellence. Develop data analysis tools that will transform data into actionable insights and advance system design. Mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and passion to cultivate future leaders in the field. Present your analysis results to senior leaders and customers, highlighting the impact of your work Work independently with minimal direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives for assignments. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience or Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. U.S Citizenship is required. A current / active DoD Secret Clearance. 2 years of experience with Digital Signal Processing and algorithm development. 4 years of experience designing, integrating, testing or troubleshooting Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radar Systems. 2 years of experience with analyzing data collected on Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radar Systems. 2 years of demonstrated proficiency in the MATLAB programming environment. 1 year of experience developing and utilizing tools for Radio Frequency (RF) data analysis at the I/Q level. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Mathematics or other related technical fields. A current / active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher. 2 years of experience programming in Python and/or C++. 2 years of experience integrating and testing mature technologies in a low-rate production environment. 2 years of experience analyzing the Electronic Warfare (EW) kill chain, including threat acquisition, tracking, identification/classification, engagement, and warfighter interaction.
