Shipping And Receiving Associate
This position involves working on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the primary responsibility of loading trucks overnight to ensure they are ready for dispatch in the morning. The role may require operating a forklift, side loader, or overhead crane to read work orders, locate parts, and load them onto trucks. Occasionally, there is a need to work on the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM, though this is a low-priority opening. Responsibilities
Complete basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions. Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, and pull material from racks. Unload incoming material, load trucks and/or customer vehicles, and maintain the warehouse. Receive, place, and return items into stock inventory locations. Pull and assemble orders based on work/shipping orders or other documentation. Tag material for proper identification and complete all required documentation. Move material from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas using forklift, side loader, or crane. Operate yard truck for loading and unloading trailers. Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, or product code. Conduct spot checks on inventory and complete daily and/or ad hoc checks for proper tagging of material. Report any irregularities to supervisor for direction. Restock material as needed. Occasionally drive a motor vehicle (non-DOT truck) for local deliveries and parts pick-ups. Adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management. Essential Skills
Experience with forklift operation, shipping and receiving, material handling, lifting boxes, and inventory control. Proficiency in packaging, stocking, and loading/unloading trucks. Experience with overhead crane operation. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions as applied to work situations. Basic measurement and arithmetic skills, including converting and using measurements. Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of software applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications
0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience. High School diploma/GED preferred. Warehousing and material handling experience preferred. Ability to show manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination. Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally and 60 pounds repetitively. Ability to stand for sustained periods and push or pull 80 pounds of force. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers. Why Work Here?
